Estancia Huechahue (“way-cha-way”) is 15,000 acres of cattle ranch in Argentina Patagonia. Patagonia is unfeasibly beautiful, rugged and wild. Huechahue maintains traditional values and customs whilst welcoming visitors into a unique world where horses and cattle still roam free and food is home grown.
I rode horses a few days herding cattle with Gauchos. Amazing!!! I did not have much experience with riding horses but I felt safe with gauchos and other guests. Enjoyed walking, trotting, cantering and wonderful view.
Asada roasted whole Lamb was so tasty. Most things we ate were home grown or homemade; sausage, smoked trout, smoked boar, bacon, milk, cream, yogurt, honey, apricot jam, plum jam, vegetables, bread, ice cream… Rustic but good.
